A peculiarity of the vans is the large capacity of the rear load compartment, in this case increased by over 40% and even more versatile. A result obtained by moving the fresh water tank under the garage floor (accessible via a special hatch), adopting the powerful 6,000 W Truma Combi diesel stove positioned in the dinette chest and thus eliminating the compartment for the two bulky gas cylinders . All interventions from which other advantages also derive. The insulated and heated tank is placed next to the gray water tank and promotes stability when driving. The stove in the center of the passenger compartment is more efficient and involves shorter branches for the thermoventilation, which also reaches the driver's cab. Furthermore, using a 95 liter compressor refrigerator, a 3kg cylinder – which takes up little space – is more than enough to power the kitchen stove. Not least is the great autonomy provided by diesel without the worry of changing and recharging gas cylinders.

In the garage, where the overall dimensions of the wheel arches remain, it is possible to load two bicycles transversely, using the remaining volume differently. In fact, in the standard configuration, the double bed with support and mattress divided into two sections can be transformed into a single bed or a full-width sofa. In our 600 D a double bed with manually adjustable height is fitted (as an option), on both sides without any effort, and can be positioned at any point so as to make the most of the load compartment. The removal of the dividing bulkheads, which function as a double step, also allows you to transport sports equipment or long and bulky objects.

Inside, the VanTourer is striking for the design of the furnishings and the refined finishes as well as for the many original solutions that combine elements tested in this type of vehicle. The hat rack above the cabin remains undaunted, and rightly so in our opinion, as a useful storage area and thermal buffer compared to an only apparently traditional dinette. The independent seats can in fact move away (the device is optional and chosen in ours) for greater comfort, especially when travelling. The aesthetic impact of the curved shelves is beautiful, practical object holders and perfect complements to the line of furniture assembled with special anti-condensation ventilation and the pleasant contrast between the dark and white wooden surfaces. The chest, occupied by the stove, cannot be used, so the aforementioned hatbox supported by a floor storage unit under the table is useful.

The organization of the kitchen block is excellent, with a classic layout, with asymmetrical chest of drawers and compartment with door in the base, two-burner hob with glass lid which together with the lateral extension expands the work surface. The bathroom, generally the weak side of vans, in the case of the VanTourer 600 D is a real strong point. The toilet has normal dimensions but is easy to use, with an adjustable bowl and a sink built into the longitudinal surface of the wall; the shower box is integrated but for optimal use it extends into the corridor with an additional shower tray (equipped with a protective wooden platform) thanks to the entire wall-mounting block which moves until it is automatically fixed in a special edge of the furniture on the side opposite: the tracks on the ceiling allow the curtain to create a large environment that doesn't make you regret the home bathroom. The rear bedroom is also comfortable and, in combination with the height-adjustable double bed, can also accommodate a second large bed in the lower part (not present in ours). Even more welcoming, private and panoramic is the accommodation obtained in the exclusive liftable roof, ( the device is optional and is present on ours).
