Meet Gertrude, our retro 80's VW camper.

Recent GTi conversion, plenty of power. 

   She's a Westfalia High Top which means you can stand up inside without having to pop open a roof. She sleeps 4 with a 2 person fold out bed 'downstairs' and a 2 person bed 'upstairs'. She's equipped with an onboard LPG tank to power the hob and fridge on site, so there's no gas canisters to worry about refilling or transporting. There is a sink fed from an onboard fresh water tank for washing up and boiling the included kettle. There is the option to hook up to mains on site and there is a 240v socket onboard. The fridge can be powered either by gas or by 240v. There is also a spacious 'drive away' awning included which has a decent sized living area 2 bedrooms - perfect if somebody's snoring gets too much! I speak from experience and regularly get kicked into there! This can be quickly detached from the van, so you don't have to pack everything away for days out etc. We can include a tow bar mounted bike rack for 4 bikes if you fancy taking the bikes away. There is an Alpine bluetooth stereo with aux in and usb for your tunes.   She is also left hand drive and doesn't have power steering, which I have never found to be a problem.   I wouldn't recommend that you go above 60mph for the sake of your knuckles and to be kind to Gertrude. Based in Manchester, we have some of the nicest parts of the country on our doorstep. 2 National Parks in the Lake District and Peak District. The Yorkshire Dales and Yorkshire Coast, North Wales, Anglesey, Isle of Man are all within a few hours drive. Arrive to wherever your going in Gertrude and you'll end up making loads of new friends as she always starts a conversation. Much better than turning up in a bland box!
